Kevin Wick is a Managing Director at PwC.  He has been consulting with insurance pools since 1988, and has observed the pooling industry mature during this time. 

Kevin is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.  He is a frequent speaker at conferences and personally enjoys working with insurance pools as they strive to improve the outcomes of their programs.

His recent efforts have been focused in developing a sound framework for addressing the question of the proper funding level for an insurance pool.  “How well are we funded?” is a basic question pools should be able to answer.  In 2011, he authored a paper (“Have Pool Expectations Surpassed their Solvency Measures?”) that examines and challenges the common financial metrics currently used by pools.  Over the last few years, he has performed dozens of target capital reviews across the country, including reviews for some of the largest and oldest pools in the nation.
